Intro to Ashtanga Yoga
In this 4 week session you will learn the basic breathing technique, Ujjayi breath, and the foundational sequence of Ashtanga Yoga: the Sun Salutation. New postures and techniques are added on as we progress through the session.
Erica will give verbal cues and gentle hands on assists to refine alignment and increase concentration so you learn to celebrate what you can do, rather than struggling to try to look like someone else.

Yin Yoga
The hallmark of yin yoga is that poses (floor or supine) are held for about three to five minutes at a time in order to stretch the connective tissue around the joints and bring the practitioner to a state of mental calmness. This soothing, healing practice allows us to settle into the present moment, engaging deeply with the body, mind and spirit.
-
Yoga - All Levels

We will also work through a selection of standing poses and seated poses, with modifications offered throughout to accommodate different levels of experience. Students must be able to move from seated to standing and back to seated. These classes are taught in a noncompetitive environment to students of all ages and body types.
