The Centered Self - Mindfulness Studies

Mindfulness is often simplified as “being present,” but its roots run far deeper—into ancient wisdom, modern psychology, and the art of living with clarity and compassion. This monthly gathering invites you to explore mindfulness as a multidimensional practice that touches breath, thought, emotion, and relationship.
Learn real-life tools to help calm the monkey mind, choose control over reactivity, and flow with the challenges and triumphs of our day-to-day.
What to Expect (will vary from class to class): Opening breathwork to settle the nervous system; Short lecture: the landscape of mindfulness and practical applications; Group discussion; Guided activity; Closing integration meditation.
Appropriate for all levels of experience. Come as you are—all are welcome.

Intro to Ashtanga Yoga: A 4-Week Series
with Erica McHugh, E-RYT 500
Ashtanga Yoga is often described as a moving meditation that is guided by our breath. In this 4 week session you will learn the basic breathing technique, Ujjayi breath, and the foundational sequence of Ashtanga Yoga: the Sun Salutation. New postures and techniques are added on as we progress through the session.
Erica will give verbal cues and gentle hands on assists to refine alignment and increase concentration so you learn to celebrate what you can do, rather than struggling to try to look like someone else.
Erica brings 27 years of experience as an Ashtanga practitioner and teacher. She has owned multiple studios in the Lehigh Valley area over the years, taught many teacher trainings, and has studied with the world’s greatest Ashtanga teachers. Join Erica for this special series and discover the joy of Ashtanga yoga.
